Our first few days of school will include an orientation with goal setting and an explanation of Village's traditions and expectations.  Please note: students who are present for all of the orientation and who have all of their registration papers complete will earn ONE (1)elective credit.

INVITATION TO JOIN SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL

One major goal again this year is to increase parent involvement at Village High School so I would welcome you to to join our School Site Council by filling out and returning the volunteer form.  Another way to get involved is Back-to-School Night which will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM.  We will be sending out more detailed information prior to that time, and we look forward to seeing all of you that evening.

REGISTRATION PACKET INFORMATION

The registration packet contains many important items with pertinent information for the coming year and can be downloaded and printed from the below table.  Please read each piece, but pay special attention to the following items:  the Village Commitment and the Village High School Contract (which must be read and signed), along with all the other registration forms in this packet.  All forms must be filled out and returned to school by the first day (but the earlier the better for the front office to process).  See the checklist of documents to be returned below.

Proof of Residency/Registration

The parent/guardian of a student must complete a registration form and provide the following documents:

  • Evidence of residency within the district (two forms of evidence required). School district residents must provide a current utility bill (such as PG&E, telephone, water, garbage, or cable TV), recent close of escrow papers, or recently signed rental/lease agreement (with name, address and telephone number of lessor).

If registration pre-dates the start of school attendance by more than a month, a second utility bill may be requested after the first month of student attendance.
Post office box, bank statement, driver’s license, credit card bills, personal check, property tax statement, mortgage statement, AFDC statements, or cell phone statements are not acceptable as proof of residency.

Falsification of an address may result in denying the enrollment of a student.

  • Student immunization record signed by a doctor (see reverse side of Student Enrollment Flier, “School Immunization”).  Click here to veiw Student Enrollment flier
