Maintaining a quality teaching staff
The Village staff strives to provide a strong, well-balanced instructional program to meet the needs of all students. Many of our staff members have been recognized for special achievements. We have two of Pleasanton's Teacher of the Year winners:

• Kit Little, Pleasanton and Alameda County 1995
• Connie Bishop, Pleasanton 2003

Village has been named "A Model School Program" by the California Department of Education, most recently in 2002-2003, selected for the California Digital High School project, and granted a six-year accreditation term by Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

The result of these achievements is high teacher morale, increased collaboration among staff, cross disciplinary sharing of effective instructional strategies, and a great sense of professional pride in improved student learning. Village High School has a total of 12 teachers, all holding credentials.
