A Starry Night at the Vineyard
at the Ruby Hill Country Club

Please join us for an entertaining evening that includes a sit-down dinner, live and silent auction, and the music of John Whitney's Band.

If you did not have a chance to sign-up as a volunteer for this event, then please contact Jill or myself.  We are looking for volunteers to assist with packaging, labeling and creating descriptive placards for silent auction baskets.

Also, we are actively seeking donations for this event from local merchants and restaurants.  How can parents contribute?  A letter will be coming home from your child's Advisement/Block teacher requesting theme donation items and/or monetary donations for classroom baskets for silent auction.  For live auction, vacation homes and time-shares are always well appreciated donations.  Additionally, if you own season tickets to sporting events, ballets, a speaker series, and cannot attend all of the scheduled dates -- we would love to offer them as an auction item.  All donations are tax deductible.      

The money raised during last year's event support the students at Pleasanton Middle School as follows:

Academic Programs and Educational Support:  Two additional Math Sections ($24,000); Extended hours for school library ($11,400); WEB Counselors (Welcome Every Body- 6th grade orientation) ($5,000) Library books ($3,000); Math Conference ($800); Inter-mural Sports ($800); Emergency Preparedness ($1,300); CATE  (Language Arts) Conference  ($1,000); Multilingual conference ($800); ITA (Robotics) ($300); California Young Readers (Books) ($2.600); Destination Imagination ($3,0 00) PSEE ($1,000) Village High School ($1,000).

Technology: In partnership with the district, the PFA partially funds our school's Technology Specialist ($11,000).  This year we were able to provide an Accelerated Math Scanner and Printer in the library.  Students may now scan their packets before and after school.
