Dear Lydiksen Families,
Welcome to the 2012-13 school year! It is a privilege to be the new principal of George C. Lydiksen Elementary School, a proud California Distinguished
School and a National School of Character. The staff and I look forward to working with you to ensure your children have an enjoyable and successful
school year. Lydiksen is a student-centered school committed to providing a
high-quality education where each student is valued and challenged. Utilizing
a rigorous curriculum, research-based strategies, and a comprehensive
character education program, it is our highest priority to provide a learning
environment that supports academic, social, emotional, and physical
development.
Community support plays a vital role in Lydiksen’s success. Our Parent
Faculty Club (PFC) works closely with our staff to provide volunteers,
community-building events, and multiple fundraisers to support our
educational programs. We face many challenges due to ongoing budget
constraints, which make the support provided by parents and community
members critically important. Thank you for partnering with us in our
commitment to excellence and helping to make Lydiksen Elementary a
wonderful place to learn and grow.
