Messages from the PFC

Rummage Sale: Thank you to Cie Probst for once again, chairing our amazing Lydiksen Rummage Sale. Shoppers from our community were able to shop for great items, and most of the items were priced at just $1.00! Thanks to all of our volunteers, families who donated items, and shoppers, we were able to raise around $1500 for the PFC.
Fresh & Easy Fundraiser: The Fresh & Easy fundraiser was a fun and easy way to raise money for Lydiksen. The shopping night and receipt collection raised a combined total of almost $900 for our school! Thanks to Kathy Young for bringing this to Lydiksen.
International Fair: Lydiksen Families enjoyed a spectacular International Fair thanks to Christiane Huebner, Monica Stephens, and all of the volunteers. It was an evening filled with great music, performances, and information. Thanks to all for sharing your heritage with us, and to all of the families who attended the event!
PFC Meeting: Our next PFC meeting will be on Thursday, Feb. 9 in the Lydiksen Library. We will be voting in a new Ways and Means chairperson, as well as presenting information on our new teacher request procedures. We hope you will join us.
Homework Survey: Pleasanton Unified School District would like your feedback about the new homework policy.
Do you feel like there is more or less homework this year?
Do you think there are too many tests and projects due on the same day? Let PSUD know what you think by taking a survey:

Effective January 1, 2012, California has a new booster seat law. 4'9" is the magic number! All children under the age of eight must be secured in a car or booster seat in the back seat. All children who are under 8 years old, but over 4'9" must be secured in the back seat with a safety belt.
