Vice Principal’s Message

Welcome to Horizon School-Age Parent Program! Since 1975, our mission has been to create an environment where pregnant and parenting teens are given the tools they need to establish safe, healthy and productive lives for themselves and their children. Our program enables all students to continue their high school education with the ultimate goal of earning a diploma.

Because we understand the unique needs of teen parents, we provide an outstanding array of services that help students reach their personal and academic goals. In addition to offering our students a strong academic program that is aligned to State and District standards, we offer the following support services: on-site childcare; prenatal and parenting education classes; individual and group therapy; employability skills classes; and transportation.

Many of our graduates are able to make a successful transition into college, while others choose to enter the world of work. Whichever post-high school path is chosen, Horizon students are very well-prepared for the journey.

We are extremely proud of all of our students and do everything we can to help them reach their goals as a student and young parent. We look forward to meeting you and working with you in an effort to help you reach your goals, too.
