2010-2011 WALK THROUGH REGISTRATION

Dear Parents and Guardians:
Please read the following information in this letter carefully as our process has changed to be more effective and to reduce paper waste.
*We are asking parents/guardians to read information regarding Walk Through Registration such as E-Connection, Internet use, Health Insurance, No Photo, Tobacco Free, Notice to Parents and our Parent/Student Handbook. The web site outlines the 2010-11 school year Walk Through Registration (WTR) procedures for Hearst Elementary School.
This year we are going to do WTR a little differently. On August 19th you will pick-up and complete all paper work at the same time. We will not be having two separate dates (one for packet pick-up and the other for WTR).
Step I - Please try to follow the schedule below in order to avoid long lines:
9:00 - 10:00 a.m. A - D |

Step II – When you arrive please pick-up your child’s White Emergency Card and a Blue Signature Sheet in front of Kids Club (facing Case Ave.) on Thursday, August 19.
Step III - During the suggested time there will be a White Emergency Card (to be revised if necessary) and a Blue Parent Signature sheet that need to be read, signed and turned in.
- All families please bring two acceptable proof of residency – (two of the following): original of a current utility bill (within 2 months) such as PG&E, water, garbage, or cable TV (NO phone/cell bills); or original rental/lease agreement signed within the last 2 months (with name, address, & telephone number of lessor); or final escrow papers signed within the last 2 months.
- The Parent Teachers Association (PTA) would like to invite you to join PTA and support our great school and kids. We encourage you to join PTA, purchase a yearbook and make a donation to our school during this time. You may use Visa, Master Card or make check payable to Hearst PTA.
- Child Nutrition Services personnel will be available if you would like to pre-purchase lunches for your student(s) for the 2010-11 school year. (A separate check is needed payable to CNS).

Your child’s teacher assignment will only be given after all forms have been turned in at WTR. This includes all forms requiring parent/child information and parent signatures.
The first day of school is Wednesday, August 25th. Reminder that the first day of school, which is on Wednesday, August 25, will be a late start day, AM Kindergartners start at 9:10 and 1st – 5th start at 9:15. PM Kindergartners start at their regular time of 11:30.
