Your School Needs You!
The Fairlands School Site Council has openings for Parent Representatives and Alternates for the 2007-2008 school year.
The School Site Council is comprised of parents, teachers, and administrators who work in partnership to develop and implement the School Improvement Plan. The Council's responsibilities include annually reviewing and updating the School Improvement Plan and overseeing budgets to support school development. The Council, which meets once a month, supports in identifying needs and priorities for the school, ensuring that Fairlands continues to create a learning environment in which all students succeed.
The election for School Site Council membership will take place at our Back to School Nights. There are three permanent positions and two alternate positions open on the committee. Applications for these positions will close on Tuesday August 28th . If you are interested in applying to join the School Site Council please complete an application . Please also attach a paragraph statement about yourself that includes activities and experiences that you have been involved in at school and in the community, and why you would like to be elected to the school site council.
