Donlon recognizes the need for a GATE program that addresses these learners' special needs. Activities and special events addressing these needs should provide participants with the opportunity to explore in depth the complexity and reality of the world around them.

GATE Assessment Testing for 3rd Graders (and selected 4-8th) is February 4, 2014.

ALL 3rd grade students will attend school at 8:25am and be released at 2:15pm.

There are no practice questions for this test.  Parents should prepare their children for this test by ensuring a light schedule the evening before the test, a nice breakfast and an unrushed arrival to school the day of the test.

This is a voluntary test.  Parents who wish to have their child tested must arrange for their child to be at school for th early reader, (morning program) start time on test day.  there is not enough time to administer the test during the late reader (afternoon program) schedule.  Parents may choose to have their child tested in 4th grade if the early arrival time is not convenient.  Fourth grade testing is not automatic, parents will have to nominate their child for testing sometime before December 2014.
