Honors Pre-Calculus Home Page

The purpose of Pre-Calculus is to demonstrate how the concepts of Algebra, Geometry and Intermediate Algebra are manipulated and used in preparing the students for Calculus.

This course will prepare students for future studies in calculus and college mathematics.  Many topics introduced in Algebra II with Trig are studied more extensively in precalculus.  There is emphasis on graphing functions and relations from the equation, polynomial theory, conics, logarithms, vectors, matrices, exponential equations, and limits.  A more complete study of the unit circle and trigonometry is undertaken as well as many topics from calculus.
