Ms. James has been teaching at Amador Vallley High School since 2000. She has taught Math 1, Math 2, Algebra, Geometry, Intermediate Algebra, Math Analysis, Honors Pre-Calculus and Calculus AB. Previously, she worked as a civil engineer at Carlson, Barbee and Gibson and an environmental engineer at Rust Environment and Infrastructure. She also taught for 5 years at Stanley Middle School in Lafayette.

In her free time, she finds herself hiking, biking, traveling, playing Texas hold-em and other card games, and hanging out with her two Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Sally and CJ. She enjoys going to AVHS sporting events, too. Go DONS!
