URGENT STUDENT PARKING INFO:  Please do not park in the parking lot of the Valley Community Church behind the parking structure off Del Valle. Because so many students are parking there, church staff, preschool parents and people attending church functions have no room to park. No one wants to tow unauthorized cars in the church parking lot, but if the situation does not improve that may be the only alternative. The church built the parking structure in a joint venture with the school district and allows us to use it during the week. Out of respect for them and their generosity, please park only in the student parking lot off Santa Rita Road, on top of the structure or along the south fence in the Del Valle parking lot. The church community is a good neighbor to us; let’s be good neighbors to them."

J-BUILDING WOMEN'S BATHROOM: Amador's Leadership class and AP Studio Art students are teaming up to paint a mural in the J-building women's bathroom. As a result, the bathroom will be closed every day during 7th period. 

Lost and Found:  If you have lost any clothing articles please come down and check the Lost and Found in the Main Office by Mrs. Stephenson.  All remaining clothing will be donated to charity on June 8th.


  AP GOVT 2012-2013:  There will be a mandatory meeting for all students who are taking AP Government and AP Macroeconomics on Wednesday, June 6th at 12:20 (right after 3rd period finals). The meeting will be in J-5. You will be receiving your summer work at this time.


Cross Country Meeting for fall 2012: Students interested in participating in cross country in the fall of 2012, there will be a meeting for both parents and athletes on Monday, June 4th at 5 PM in room B-3. This meeting is for new and returning athletes and their parents. If you have any questions see Coach Oswalt in room B-3.

2012-2013 AP PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS:  Please come by Mr. Emerson's room, H-5, at lunch on May 30/31 to pick up your Psych books.  Come early to make sure you get your copy!


JUNIORS:  Pro Image Studios, your official Senior Portrait Photographers, will be on campus May 29th, 30th 31st at lunch to schedule your senior portrait appointments.  Check your schedules now so that you can make an appointment that is convenient for you.

Seniors ~ Congratulations! Just pass the darn FINALS, would ya !?

Juniors ~ Narrow down your college choices from 15 to 8; focus on details and differences; what do YOU want? Visit as many campuses as you can to help you decide. Work on grants and scholarships over the summer.


Sophomores ~ Remember: This year counts! Attend college fairs and preview days; it’s never too early!

Freshmen ~ Start thinking about possible career paths; take an interest inventory to get some ideas. This can help you plan your high school choices.


Important Graduation Information:   Commencement exercises will be held Friday June 8th, 2012 on the Amador Valley High School Football Field.  The program will begin promptly at 7:30 PM.   Gates will be open at 6:30 pm.  All seniors will receive eight (8) graduation tickets which will be given to each senior at the Student Activities Office starting June 4, 2012.  Those students who have not passed their proficiency tests or paid all bills will not be able to pick up their tickets until cleared. Seniors must show their ID and will be responsible for bringing the tickets home.   Tickets are required for seating. 


Students are encouraged, but not required to participate in the ceremony. Purple Caps and gowns will be worn. Dress is semi-formal: no shorts, jeans, flip-flops, or tennis shoes. Caps cannot be decorated in any way or they will be replaced with an undecorated cap.


Seniors should be ready to line up in the Multi-Purpose Room no later than 6:30 PM. The processional will start promptly at 7:30 PM. No one will be allowed to enter the line once it has started.


Parents and guests should plan to be seated by 7:15 PM.  We require that they remain in the stands until the ceremony has been completed and the graduates have left the field.  Please allow yourself time for parking.  Seniors should leave purses and valuables with relatives or other guests.


Following the Commencement Exercises, diplomas will be distributed to graduates in the Multi-purpose room.  Diplomas will not be issued to those students with outstanding fines.   If you have any questions, please call 461-6100.   Thank you!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        


AP SPANISH 4: AP Spanish 4 summer homework this Thursday at lunch in I-4.


AP US HISTORY:  AP US History students for next year need to complete the summer work assignment found on Mrs. Wohlgemuth's website:


AP WORLD HISTORY:  There is an AP World meeting for sophomores taking the class in the Library at 3:00 on Monday June 4th.  They will need to attend to get their books and summer assignment. Any questions they can see Mrs. Anderson in Q104 or Mr. Murphy in Q204.
