Thank you! Yet again, Alisal’s teacher and staff felt the love during this past week’s Teacher Appreciation. Thanks to PTA, room moms, and parents for your thoughtfulness! If you haven’t already, please be sure to check out all the classroom doors when you’re here for Open House, Thursday 5/24. Jamba Juice Wednesdays Selected flavors of Jamba Juice will be available for purchase after school in the courtyard area on Wednesdays for $4 each. This is an Outdoor Ed 2013 fundraiser for our current fourth graders. Yearbooks Yearbooks will be distributed to all students at the end of school that day on Friday, 6/1. If a family ordered just one book, it will be delivered to the eldest student. Each purchased yearbook will be labeled with the student's name. The annual Alisal Donut Yearbook Signing Party will be on Wednesday 6/6 from 8:30-9:15 a.m. in the lunch area and yearbooks will be available for purchase, if supplies are still available. For students who did not pre-order a yearbook, they will be sold after school on Friday 6/1, Monday 6/4 and Tuesday 6/5. Be sure to buy your yearbook early and pre-order your book now. The cost is $25 for 1, $45 for 2 and $65 for 3. Make your check out to the PTA and submit it to the office. Please contact Corri Cooper at clancoop@gmail.com if you have any questions. Parent invitation from Go Green Club The Go Green Club is still seeking donations of paint brushes and sealant paint for their Grizzly’s Garden shed project. Please visit their Facebook page for more information regarding dates when painting volunteers are needed. The Go Green Club invites Alisal parents to join their Facebook community to access Go Green club activities and events. The address is http://facebook.com/AlisalGoGreenClub Invitation to all fifth grade girls HPMS eighth-graders Helena Hasse and Miranda Spring, who are working toward their Girl Scout Silver Award, are hosting “Middle School 101” for fifth grade girls as an introduction to middle school. It will be held at the Harvest Park gym on May 30 and is open to all fifth grade girls. See the attached flyer for more details. It is hosted by the PTA at the home of Mary Diligent, 4549 Shearwater Rd. on Thursday May 31 from 8:30-11:00 a.m. Her phone is 399-5355 Jog-A-Thon 2013 gearing up The PTA is currently gearing up for next year’s Jog-A-Thon to be held in September. The Jog-A-Thon will be one of only two PTA fundraisers held in the 2012-2013 school year. We are currently looking for local Pleasanton companies to sponsor this fun and exciting event. Your company logo will appear in one color on the back of the Alisal 2012 Jog-A-Thon t-shirt which will be distributed to over 600 Alisal students.
